Andrew Tank is in his 7th season with the Golden Gophers men’s golf staff. Promoted to the position of associate head coach in June of 2007, Tank has helped guide Minnesota to a pair of Big Ten titles, five NCAA Regional appearances and two top-10 finishes at the NCAA Championships during his tenure.

Tank has also helped recruit and develop some of the program’s top players of all time. Since joining the Minnesota staff, he has produced seven All-Americans, nine All-Region selections, a Big Ten individual champion, the Big Ten Freshman of the Year and 14 all-conference selections. The program has excelled in the classroom as well under Tank’s tutelage, earning three Academic All-America and seven Academic All-Big Ten citations.

Tank has worked tirelessly at his craft throughout his coaching career, receiving instruction from the world’s most respected golf mentors at numerous teaching seminars and coaching summits. He has also had the good fortune to surround himself with number of highly-regarded mentors such as Golf Magazine Top 100 Instructor Gerald McCullagh, PGA Master Professional Chris Foley and W.P. Rose, the former head coach at Drake University and an Iowa Golf Hall of Famer.

As a result, Tank reputation as a teacher has provided him with the opportunity to work regularly with a number of top amateurs and professionals, many of whom have competed on the PGA, Nationwide, European, Australian, Asian, and Canadian Tours.

Away from the links, Tank has pursued graduate work in the areas of sport psychology and motor learning and has recently he has studied the links between the physical body and the golf swing. In November 2007, he became the first and only golf professional in Minnesota to earn Level II TPI Golf Fitness Certification.

Prior to beginning his professional career, Tank was a letter-winner for the Golden Gophers. A five-time scholar-athlete award winner, he served as team captain of Minnesota’s 2002 Big Ten and NCAA Championship squad.

If you need to cancel a lesson outside the 24 hour cancellation, window, you will be issued a lesson credit and can rebook a lesson at your convenience.

Within 24 hours of scheduled lesson, please contact me directly and I will issue you a credit to reschedule.
