2009 Student PICK Nomination!
Got an email today that we've been chosen as a Student PICK Nominee for the 2009 Student PICK Awards. Very cool.
Your website, Book a Lesson, has been chosen as a 2009 Student PICK Nominee. The first annual Student PICK Awards featured 1000 top websites for college students that have been narrowed down to 100 Student PICK Nominees, and Book a Lesson is one of them! Our awards team surveyed over 200,000 college students across the U.S. asking them to evaluate the top 1000 websites and choose their favorites. All sites were rated on a scale of 1-10 in 5 categories including: Ease of Use, Range of Tools Available, Real-Life Application, The Site's Perceived Intentions, and Overall Opinion of the Site. You are receiving this email because your site scored in the top 10% of the class!
...
We look forward to working with you to determine the top 25 college student websites online!
Best Regards,
The Student PICK Awards Team

I’m pretty sure this is just a scam by a credit card company to get students to fill out a survey so they can be marketed. Notice the URL of the vote link (studentcreditcardscenter.com).

Hi Cal,
The Student PICK Awards team is not keeping any of the contact information from the surveys. Our Privacy Policy strictly states that we will not keep information like that. I appreciate you looking out for Book A Lesson because they are a great site and need users like you.
The Student Credit Cards Center runs the Student PICK Awards, but we are putting these awards together for our users and nothing else. We have been a trusted resource in the offline space and, after great demand, we entered the online space. Our hope is to provide users of our site with other reputable tools online, such as this one.
I hope this helps clear up any concern that you have and encourage you to fill out one of the surveys to vote for Book a Lesson. If you are worried about your information being taken, you can fill out “No Name” in the name field and “Noemail@no.com” in the email field (or something to that effect).
Thanks!
Jess
